Set at the foot of Craigendarroch Hill, 600m from the centre of Ballater, Glenbardie Holiday Homes comprises of two houses; Glenbardie House and Glenbardie Bothy. They have separate gated entrances and are divided by a wooden fence. The House has six bedrooms and accommodates up to 12 people, whilst The Bothy has three bedrooms and sleeps up to six people.

They can be rented individually or together.

Glenbardie House, is an attractive early 20th-century family home built by an Aberdeen shipowner, featuring a striking tall octagonal tower.

This charming and comfortable home combines traditional elegance with modern comforts, accommodating up to 12 guests across six beautifully appointed bedrooms, four of which are ensuite. The generous bedrooms ensure everyone has their own personal space.

Its spacious public areas; a comfortable sitting room, a dining room with large round table for 12, and the well-equipped kitchen, plus large bedrooms, mean that you'll never feel cramped or crowded, making it an ideal setting for relaxation and togetherness.

On warmer days, step outside to discover a private garden complete with furniture, a barbecue, games, and a summer house, perfect for enjoying the outdoors, and spotting a red squirrel or two.

In winter, experience the warmth and cosiness that Glenbardie House offers with the open fire in the sitting room and the convivial dining room.

Celebrating Christmas and New Year in Glenbardie House is very special as both the sitting and dining room are decorated to create a festive atmosphere.

Glenbardie Bothy

Originally a shelter for shepherds, this space has transformed over the years, serving as a stable and garage before its stunning renovation into a cosy hideaway in 2010.

The ground floor features a open-plan kitchen, dining, and sitting area, along a utility room, a bedroom, and a bathroom.

Upstairs, you'll find two additional bedrooms and a shower room, all accessible via a beautifully handcrafted wood staircase.

Enjoy the warmth of underfloor heating on the ground floor and electric radiators above, along with a fully equipped kitchen that includes an induction hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, plus a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
